My personal projects feature women who have an outstanding "coolness" about them. Whether it be her individual style, confidence, femininity, and/or her overall laissez-faire attitude, each woman possesses a trait worth admiring.
After choosing a subject, I design the layout of the portrait and draw it with chalk pastels.
LIFE IN THE
TIME OF LEMONADE
This piece is an ode to my time in Athens, Georgia where I found my interest in the Tudor period, especially the reign of Queen Elizabeth I.
I based this self-portrait on a painting of her titled the 'Darnley Portrait' from around 1575 by an unknown artist.
'Life in the Time of Lemonade' was drawn on Strathmore drawing paper with Prismacolor Nupastels.
